Erik Stehmann’s (1984) designs are like toys for adults: playful, technically refined designs that bring a smile to people’s faces. Based in Arnhem, he blends curiosity, craftsmanship, and innovation to develop products.

His technical expertise ensures that every idea is not only imaginative but also meticulously engineered for manufacturability. He thrives on exploring the limits of materials and production techniques, creating designs that challenge both the maker and the user.

Working independently, Erik handles every step of the design process, from concept to prototype. His unique approach (combining creativity, technical skill, and a one-person studio mentality) allows him to collaborate flexibly with brands and manufacturers. His designs are ultimately brought to market under license, ensuring that his vision reaches a wider audience while retaining its playful, innovative spirit.

“The best thing about my work is that I can challenge and surprise myself every day”
