Terence Woodgate

Terence Woodgate is a respected British furniture and lighting designer known for his understated, modern approach and meticulous attention to detail. Originally trained as a design engineer, he later studied furniture design and established his London studio in 1988. His work combines innovative manufacturing techniques with thoughtful craftsmanship, resulting in functional, refined designs across furniture and lighting.

A Royal Designer for Industry since 2003, Woodgate has received numerous international design awards, including the Red Dot “Best of the Best” and the iF Ecology Award. His work is represented in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museu d’Arts Decoratives in Barcelona. Today, he works from his studio in East Sussex, continuing to explore new expressions of modern design.
